Young Women Can and Do Get Breast Cancer

A breast cancer diagnosis is difficult, and a diagnosis before the age of 45 brings a unique set of challenges. Young women may feel isolated and overwhelmed by changes in their bodies and their lives. Navigating a sea of medical decisions, job uncertainty, and changes to our relationships can feel daunting. YAAS recognizes these unique needs. Our network of healthcare providers, community based-organizations, young survivors, metastatic thrivers, patient advocates, and co-survivors works together to raise awareness and provide support for young women diagnosed with breast cancer, their families, and their communities.
